PIANO

NEW SOUTH WALES
Claire Trevelyan
Claire Trevelyan is a Sydney-based pianist who divides her time between performing as both a soloist and accompanist, and teaching students in schools and in her private studio.
She also serves as a musical director for a church, and was previously a tertiary lecturer in music theory and piano at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts (AMPA).
​
Claire was born into a family of professional musicians and began her musical journey before she could talk; her earliest clear memory is a musical competition like OSIC. Claire holds Bachelor and Masters degrees in music performance, but believes that her musical education continues as long as she lives.
NEW SOUTH WALES
Ophelia Zheng
Ophelia is a passionate pianist and dedicated educator with decades of experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels.
A scholarship graduate of the prestigious Central Conservatory of Music in China, she has nurtured a generation of pianists who have gained entry into elite programs such as the Rising Stars Program at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and top-tier institutions including the Central Conservatory of Music. An avid performer, Ophelia has appeared extensively as a recitalist, soloist, and chamber musician.


QUEENSLAND
Himman Lo
Himman is a dedicated pianist and classical piano teacher whose journey began at age six. By ten, he had competed in major competitions, performed in recitals, and studied under renowned pianists, achieving his AmusA and, at just eleven, the prestigious LTCL—making him one of Australia’s youngest pianists to reach that level.
Today, Himman brings this passion and discipline to teaching, inspiring students toward technical mastery and musical expression. In his spare time, he enjoys playing works by Chopin, Beethoven, and Liszt.
QUEENSLAND
Jasmine Leong
Jasmine is a piano teacher and accompanist, graduating from the Queensland Conservatorium where she studied under Natasha Vlassenko OAM. She teaches through her Brisbane Southside studio and at Brisbane Christian College and Westside Christian College, with students consistently achieving Honours and High Distinctions in AMEB exams.

A Council Member and Treasurer of the Queensland Music Teachers’ Association,
Jasmine is dedicated to excellence in music education and has helped run major competitions including the Queensland Piano Competition and the Australian National Piano Competition for Children.


WESTERN AUSTRALIA
Anastasia (Annie) Buettner-Moore
Annie completed her Piano Performance degree at UWA in 2012 and has since shared her passion for music as a performer, presenter, collaborative pianist, and teacher across WA and overseas. Combining her love of technology, piano and people,
she explores leading practices and innovations in music education.
With training in the Taubman Approach, Alexander Technique, dance and yoga, Annie helps pianists play with greater comfort, speed, accuracy and ease, and retrains those
recovering from injury. Annie has also served as Vice-President of the WA Music
Teacher’s Association, supporting accreditation, upskilling and mentoring of the next generation of teachers.
VICTORIA
Jonathan Reynard Kristono
Jonathan Reynard Kristono is a Melbourne-based pianist, composer, and educator with international performance and teaching experience. He has appeared at the Melbourne Recital Centre’s Now or Never festival and composed original works for the Indonesian musical Temulawak, staged at St Kilda Theatre in 2025.
Holding a Licentiate of the London College of Music (LLCM) in Piano, Jonathan currently teaches students across Victoria, preparing them for AMEB, Trinity, and ABRSM exams.


VICTORIA / NATIONAL
Yiyun Gu
Yiyun Gu is an Australian pianist and music educator with a broad professional career, highly regarded for her work with advanced students. She holds a Master of Music from the University of Melbourne and has further refined her artistry through international masterclasses in the UK and Italy.
A finalist in the Australian National Piano Award, she has performed at major venues and festivals, including multiple recitals at the Melbourne Recital Centre and the Port Fairy Spring Music Festival. She also holds a Master of Teaching and currently teaches at leading schools in Melbourne.
NATIONAL
Nathan Byrne
Nathan is an accomplished pianist with experience in all facets of performance and education. Having studied under Dr Mark McGee at the University of Melbourne
Conservatorium of Music, he has since directed a variety of highly regarded music programs in school, instrumental, choral and musical theatre settings.
Nathan is an advocate for access to music education and has held committee roles in music education organisations including ANCA, aMuse and ACCET, and the current MD for the West Gippsland Chorale.

Mandie Vieira
Mandie Vieira is a seasoned musician who has been performing professionally for over 20 years. A respected violin specialist, she brings expertise and passion to her
craft both on stage and in the classroom.

Mandie currently serves as Head of Strings at Trinity Preparatory School
in Strathfield.
NEW SOUTH WALES
Nazli E. Sendurgut
Nazli is a Sydney-based cellist with Bachelor and Master of Music Studies from the Sydney Conservatorium. Her diverse career has featured work with Delta Goodrem,
The Voice and The X Factor.
Nazli has appeared at the Sydney Opera House, Wiener Kammeroper, and leading
concert halls across Europe, including in the Czech Republic and Italy.


QUEENSLAND
Evalyn Legried
Evalyn Legried is a Brisbane-based cellist and educator with a diverse career spanning Baroque, contemporary, and pop genres. She has performed for Disney, National Geographic, Queensland Ballet, Eminem, Vera Blue, and Bliss n Eso, and regularly plays principal and tutti cello with the Queensland Pops Orchestra, Queensland Festival Philharmonic Orchestra, and Brisbane Symphony Orchestra.

Evalyn lectures at Cuskelly College of Music and serves as a
specialist consultant, adjudicator, and mentor for youth and
community string ensembles.
QUEENSLAND
Toukie Wood
Toukie Wood is a Brisbane-based violinist, violist, composer, and educator. She performs regularly with DeepBlue Orchestra, Luminescence, and Anon Strings, has
appeared with the Xi’an Symphony Orchestra, represented Australia at the 2025 World Expo, and performed as an orchestral musician in the Elvis film (2022).

Passionate about music education, Toukie has taught at schools across Brisbane, directed community workshops, runs her own studio, and has supported hundreds of young musicians through Queensland Youth Orchestras and the UQ Music Students Society.


WESTERN AUSTRALIA
Jasmin Robertson
Jasmin has worked as a professional violinist and teacher for over 10 years. She has performed as a casual violinist with WASO and appears regularly with Perth Symphony and other freelance ensembles. A keen pit musician, she particularly enjoys performing ballet repertoire with WA Philharmonic, and in major theatre productions including The Wizard of Oz, An American in Paris, and Moulin Rouge.
Jasmin has taught at a number of private schools over the years, working with beginner string programs and conducting string orchestras across junior and high school levels. She is now based solely at Methodist Ladies College while she balances life as a new mum.

Suzannah Calvert
Suzannah is a Melbourne-based professional violinist and educator who began her musical journey at age four. She trained at the College of the Arts Secondary School and holds a Bachelor of Music, building a career that spans classical performance, contemporary music, and teaching at some of Melbourne’s most prestigious schools.

Specialising in electric violin, Suzannah has performed for high-profile events including the Women’s FIFA World Cup, Melbourne Cup Carnival and Melbourne Fashion Week.

Helena Wang
Helena is a professional violinist and educator with extensive orchestral, chamber, and solo experience. She holds a Bachelor of Music (Honours), AMusA (distinction) and has performed as Casual First Violin with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and as a core member of Camerata, Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra.
Her performances include appearances with the Australian Youth Orchestra, solo and chamber concerts at the Bangalow Music Festival and SummerSalt Festival, and
international performances with the University of Queensland Symphony Orchestra in Xi’An, China. Helena is also a leading strings educator in Melbourne, guiding students through AMEB and Trinity exams, competitions, and scholarship preparation.

Emma Martin
Emma Martin is a professional violinist and educator based in Melbourne. With over fifteen years of teaching experience, she is passionate about inspiring students to reach their full musical potential. As a performer, Emma has shared her love of music with audiences across China, Austria, England, and the United States.

Through her private violin academy, Emma combines her international performance experience with innovative, student-focused teaching that encourages excellence, confidence, and creativity. Emma is Head of Suzuki at Scotch College and holds a Master of Music (Performance), Master of Teaching (Secondary), LMusA, and Suzuki Accreditation.

Tristan Lacey
Tristan is a Sydney-based session drummer and educator with over 15 years’ experience, touring nationally and performing with acts such as The Presets, Boy & Bear, and Papa Roach.

international artists.

Jeremy Thomas Tjia
Jeremy is a professional drummer from Sydney, Australia, whose passion for drums began at age 8 through performing arts schools and church gigs. With experience across pop, rock, gospel, R&B, and jazz, he brings versatility, skill, and creativity to every setting.

Josh Larkin
Josh Larkin is a versatile professional session drummer with extensive experience in the studio and on stage. He has worked with a diverse lineup of artists, including Eliza and the Delusionals, Mourning Tide, Taye Oskee, Dusty Boots, Matt Boylan-Smith, Jack Botts, Ian Mathers, The Whiskeys, and In Ashes.

Martin du Preez
Martin is a Perth-based drummer with over 18 years of experience, with Metal, Rock, and Gospel as his primary influences. He writes and performs original compositions with his band and has performed extensively in churches.
Martin is a proud ambassador for Red Cymbals and, in 2022, was nationally recognised as the winner of the Just Percussion Australian Drum Off Competition.

Rachel Trainor
Rachel Trainor is a New Zealand-born, Melbourne-based drummer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist. After studying music at University of Otago in Dunedin, she has since
studied with Dave Elitch and Benny Greb. Rachel has performed and toured with Stephanie Lake’s Manifesto, Highwire Entertainment’s Rebel and The Defiant, and was head musician at Dracula’s Cabaret Melbourne.
Her session and live credits include Amanda Palmer, The Merindas, Die Roten Punkte, Coda Chroma, Honeybone, and her solo project Nighteyes. Rachel is endorsed by Gretsch Drums, Meinl Cymbals, and Evans Drumheads.

Campbell Phillips
Campbell Phillips is a Melbourne-based drummer and educator, founder of D²Drumline, and Drumline Director for the Victorian State Schools Spectacular (VSSS). He has performed with the Top Secret Drum Corps, Blue Devils International Corps, and collaborated with artists including What So Not and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
Campbell is a specialist educator and an international artist for Mapex Drums, Zildjian Cymbals, Evans Drumheads, and Promark Sticks.

Corey Mills
Corey Mills is a Melbourne-based drummer, recording artist, and educator with nearly two decades of experience. He’s performed with leading acts including Ella Hooper,

Memory Motel, and played festivals including Yours and Owls, SXSW,
and Changing Tides.

Ben Mckinlay
Ben has been a lifelong guitarist and musician, performing across the East Coast of Australia at events such as Bluesfest, the Airlie Beach Music Festival, the Yeppoon
Festival of Music, and the Longreach Music Festival. He has also opened for acts including Marvell, Casey Barnes, and, most recently, Wolfmother.

In addition to being an active performer in the Brisbane music scene, Ben is an established music tutor whose ethos revolves around inspiring people to play the music they love while helping students build a strong foundation of musical knowledge to begin their journeys.

Flavio Correa
Flavio Correa hails from the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais and now calls Brisbane home. With over 30 years of experience, he has performed with professional bands in
Brazil and as a solo artist. Since arriving in Brisbane in 2017, Flavio has played with several bands and performed his instrumental guitar shows across Australia and New Zealand.
His passion for music was sparked at a young age, and his Latin heritage shines through his performances, combining Latin grooves, jazz, bossa nova, and popular music.
WESTERN AUSTRALIA
Matt Leftwich
Matt is a Perth-based guitarist with over 20 years of performance experience and more than a decade of teaching. He specialises in fingerpicking and open tunings, drawing influence from Dire Straits, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and John Butler Trio.

Matt runs his own guitar studio, Foothill Frets, where he teaches students of all levels and guides them in developing technical skill, musicality, and original compositions.

Anthony Mastrullo
Anthony Mastrullo is a Melbourne-based guitarist with over a decade of professional experience, performing and composing across blues, ragtime, jazz, and rock styles. As
both a solo artist and collaborator, he’s shared stages with guitar legend Tommy Emmanuel, and toured internationally in Japan and Vietnam.

A graduate of Box Hill Institute with a Bachelor of Music (Jazz/Contemporary Performance), Anthony’s work blends virtuosic technique with jazz-influenced expression. He currently leads the jazz fusion group PDBH and performs widely as a session musician across Melbourne.

Fiona Steele
Fiona Steele is a Melbourne-based singer, songwriter, and guitarist with over two decades of guitar study. She performs nationally through her solo folk-rock project FJ Steele and as part of the indie folk duo GraceJean, and has collaborated with artists including Ruth Hazleton, Nat Vazer, The Maes, and Hayley Mary (The Jezabels).

Fiona’s experience spans intimate folk venues, musical theatre orchestra pits, and large festival arenas. She holds a Bachelor of Music (Performance – Classical Guitar) from Monash University and is a leading educator in guitar performance and composition.

Alejandro Aguanta is an award-winning Melbourne-based guitarist, performer, and educator, renowned for his technical mastery and expressive musical storytelling. Drawing on his classical training, Bolivian heritage, and broad repertoire, from Bach to Latin and contemporary styles, he brings both precision and soul to every performance.
